Sympathetic conversion of The Granary has resulted in a light and spacious holiday let with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The high quality fixtures and fittings, including antique furniture and fine artwork, combine with the original building fabric to create an atmosphere which is both luxurious and relaxing.

The ground floor consists of a semi open-plan kitchen and lounge area with underfloor heating and fossil stone floors throughout. There is also a separate storage room and WC.
The lounge is cosy and inviting with a big comfy leather sofa and rich red cushions and carpeting. The dimmable chandelier and Tiffany style side lamps produce a warm glow and the wood-burning stove creates a focal point for snug evenings and lazy afternoons. A TV/DVD/CD and iPod player and a wide selction of games and books will prevent boredom creeping in on even the wettest of days.

Spacious and modern but retaining many original features, the kitchen is clean and light with everything you could need for your time at The Granary. It is well equipped with a fridge and seperate freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, oven, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Exposed beams, a large pine refectory table, dimmable lights and antique chairs will make mealtimes a memorable feature of your holiday.
The original granary stone steps have been restored and lead off the kitchen to the first floor.
With exposed beams and open ceilings to the ridgeline, the bedroom and bathroom take you back in time to when they were used to store the farm's grain. We have retained the original floor plan and as many as possible of the quirky hooks and pegs that adorn the beams.
The generously proportioned bedroom has been furnished with a mixture of contemporary solid oak furniture and antique pieces. A romantic crystal chandelier takes pride of place in the roof void and combined with the high quality bed linens and fluffy white bathrobes makes bedtime a pleasure.
The bedroom has a king-sized bed and a cot can be arranged in advance. Because it is not possible to install a stairgate we believe the Granary is really only suitable for babes in arm; from experience we know how fast crawlers and toddlers can move!
A combined TV/DVD/CD and MP3 player is situated opposite the bed and a digital radio-alarm and hairdryer are provided. The sky light is fitted with blackout blinds to make sure that early mornings can be late mornings.
Probably the most indulgent space in the house, this is a room for pampering and relaxation. Pride of place goes to the large copper bath which takes some time to run but is worth it in the end! Other fixtures include a copper wash basin, heated towel rail, spacious shower, WC and shaving point. Another dimmable crystal chandelier adds to the WOW factor.
Large fluffy towels, dressing gowns and a selection of quality toiletries are included.
Accessible from the lounge and parking area, the garden consists of a stone terrace and gravel area with raised beds and a wooden table and chairs. To the east the garden overlooks our large pond and mature trees, to the north there are views over the countryside to the spire of the neighbouring village. A herb and vegetable garden is available for guest's consumption according to the seasons.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but owners are asked to keep them off the furniture and ensure they are supervised at all times. Pets must not be left unattended for any length of time in either the house or garden. An outside hose and a couple of dog towels are provided just in case!
Owners should bring their own bowls, bedding etc.
The garden is enclosed by a picket fence but guests are welcome to walk their animal on a lead within the grounds. Please be aware that we have free-range chickens and horses nearby which makes keeping your dog on a lead essential.
There is a generous allocated parking spot immediately adjacent to the property and within the Manor House gates.
